Ocean Blue Medical Research is committed to providing people with disabilities an equal opportunity to access our information, services and programs, including information offered through this website.

1. Our Accessibility Goal

We use WCAG 2.2 Level AA as a design and maintenance target for the website. This is a continuing effort rather than a claim that every page, file or third-party feature is perfect at all times.

Our goal is to support:

  • Keyboard navigation.
  • Logical headings and page structure.
  • Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images.
  • Sufficient text and interface contrast.
  • Browser zoom and responsive layouts.
  • Visible focus indicators.
  • Clear form labels, instructions and error messages.
  • Content in English and Spanish.
  • Reduced-motion preferences when supported.
  • Compatibility with common screen readers and assistive technologies.

2. Effective Communication and Auxiliary Aids

When necessary to communicate effectively, Ocean Blue Medical Research will provide appropriate auxiliary aids and services in accordance with applicable law. Depending on the circumstances, these may include:

  • Qualified sign-language interpreters.
  • Oral interpretation.
  • Large print.
  • Accessible electronic formats.
  • Written information in an alternative format.
  • Other reasonable communication assistance.

Please request assistance as early as reasonably possible so we can coordinate the appropriate service. Services required for effective communication are provided without charge to the individual when required by law.

3. Third-Party Content

Some content or services may be provided by third parties, such as maps, external research websites, embedded tools or documents. Ocean Blue Medical Research does not control every aspect of a third-party platform, but we will work to provide an accessible alternative for information or services that we control when reasonably possible.

4. Reporting an Accessibility Problem

If you experience a barrier, please tell us. Helpful information includes:

  • The page address or name.
  • A description of the problem.
  • The browser and device used.
  • The assistive technology used, if any.
  • The format or accommodation that would help you.

Please do not include diagnoses or detailed medical information in an accessibility complaint submitted through an ordinary website channel.

5. Alternative Access

If a digital feature cannot be used, call 305-885-8983. We will make reasonable efforts to provide the information, schedule the service or complete the process through an accessible alternative while the issue is evaluated.

6. Ongoing Review

We periodically review templates, navigation, forms, color contrast, text alternatives and mobile behavior. New pages and significant changes should be tested with automated tools and manual keyboard and assistive-technology review.

This statement may be updated as the website, standards and legal requirements evolve.
